Nox new album "The Surprise" will shock the nation

A lot of changes are happening in the local industry with the emergency of Afro Beats genre taking over from Zimdancehall which has been the core of music lovers over the past few years, thanx to the likes of Ishan and the re-birth of Ti Gonzi who has been by far one of the biggest revelation of 2019.

However, Nox who has been in the industry for over 2 decades has shown why he is one of the best musicians ever to emerge eversince the Urban Grooves era emerged. After Ndinonyara, most people thought he would never surpass that and indeed for a couple of years it has proven to be a toll order. It was after Nox released the smash hit Uchandifunga that most attention shifted from Zimdancehall to this crooner's music. He then out a cherry on top by shooting amazing visuals for Uchandifunga which was one of his first videos to be olayed on the international platforms such as MTV, Trace and Channel O. 

He then went on to give us Im in Love, shooting the video in the amazing terrains of Wales (UK) and the video became an instant hit on Trace TV and on his NoxVevo channel, hitting 37000 views in 1 day which became his personal record. As if that was not enough, a month later Nox teamed up with Freeman (HKD BOSS) to drop a scorcher called Waimutambisa. Dispite some controversy surrounding  the lyical insinuation on this song in the beginning, it went on to be a viral song with so many fans doing viral fan challenges to this date. A video for this tune has already been done and we all cant wait for the visuals. A comment from Nox management was that they were just waiting for the green light from MTVBase, where the video will do an exclusive premiere.

On the 6th of September, which happens to be Nox's birthday, he will be launching his 10th studio album and if what we heard on Waimutambisa is anything to go by, then we are up for a treat this year. Africa must get ready because a new king has emerged and he comes from Zimbabwe. The album has 12 tracks and this reporter has had the privilege of sampling almost half of those. Nox fans will be proud of this and Zimbabwe as a whole will be proud. Of note is a track called ANYTHING FOR YOU which was produced by the prolific world renounced producer Jusa Dementor who have produced tracks for artists such as Busy Signal, Vybz Kartel, Alkaline, Movado and many more. The track has a bias torwards Afro Beat and this, accompanied by a video, will be a contender for Africas Vest song for 2019. He also features a South African outfit, Tumelo who is arguably one of the best Xhosa vocalists from the Eastern Cape on a song called Havanyare which was produced by one of the best discoveries for 2019, Tyfah Guni aka Mr President. What makes this album very different from everything you have been hearing lately is the quality of the sound, the genre and the versatility. The album will be launched at Werras Gardens, with a lot of artists supporting him including T Gonzi, Trevor Dongo, Seh Calaz, Terry Africa, Baba Harare, Sniper, Nutty O, Bazooka, Shinso, Roki and many others. DJs and hosts will be Merciless (PowerFM) Elder Skilla (Power FM), Buttephly (Power FM), The Comic Pastor, Ray Vines and DJ Towers and is being powered by Boss Werras. Ginimbi and Dj Lady G2 will be special hosts for this much anticipated event. Zaka, Zimbabwe and Africa should be scared, very scared.
